Chariot Necklace

I brought this purple and pink beaded necklace to Patrick, a geologist working at Jareds jewelry store for identification, and for a moment, I thought I had struck gold!

“ I can’t believe you found a necklace with an entire strand of the chariot

Cherry what? I had never heard of the gemstone, let alone knew what it was. He began explaining. “Tammy, this is a very rare gemstone. It is found in one river in Siberia.” “It is relatively newly discovered.” He repeated it…” only one river in the entire world has this gemstone.”

Patrick was mesmerized looking at this stone. Chariote is purple with lilac and violet swirls. It is so perfect, that it’s hard to believe that it could be natural from the earth. When you wear it, it will be noticed immediately.

Chariote was discovered in Siberia in 1948 in the Chara River. In 1977 it became scientifically identified.

It’s the purple strand at the center of this featured necklace.

He rattled off the gemstones. “You have a necklace with strands of Crazy Lace Agate, Pink Pearl, and Chariote.

In spite of its rarity, its relatively inexpensive, especially since it can only be found in Eastern Russia. Not many people are traveling to Siberia to find it!

The Chara river means the river of “charm”. Perhaps that explains why this gemstone is known as a stone of enchantment. Maybe that is why Patrick, a geologist was in awe studying it.

It is known as a transformative stone. Transform sickness to health, poverty to wealth, and improve self-esteem, when wearing this stone. When you are in the process of change, or just need a change, Choirite is the gemstone to wear.

I have been buying and selling vintage and antique jewelry for about 7 years. Mostly on ebay. I like unique and one of a kind pieces of jewelry and prefer old over new. Vintage jewelry is a little like me, not so easy to fit in a box.
I have a masters degree in social work and practiced for 15 years in an outpatient community mental health center. . I have innovated a couple of products. Own rental property and managed it for years. I have bought and sold a variety of products in my life time, and currently my focus is on vintage Jewelery. I suppose it's easier then sitting home knitting a sweater.
